The heroine earned these 3 stars. Her backbone and self worth were refreshing compared to the idoit that is the hero.

Maggie is tired of being married to a man who so easily abandoned her. She has a plan to get herself out of this disgrace of a marriage but she couldnt have anticipated what would come of it.

Simon is an utter imbecile and, quite frankly, a bastard. He married for money and immediately ran off. He is completely unlikable.

This story is a culmination of Maggie being sick of being ignored and abandoned and Simon's inability to choose between his mistress and his wife.

It is an HEA but I would have liked to see Simon has some sense beat(literally) in to him for Maggie's sake.

This is my favorite book by Mrs. Scott. I love a good angst fix, and in my opinion, this one delivers the best heartstring tugs. Our hero, Simon, is a complete cad to Maggie. He abandons his American heiress Dollar Princess her after marrying her for her fortune. There is so much to Maggie besides her wealth. She's a brilliant poet and she is beautiful. Simon eventually realizes the error of his ways, but boy does he mess up a lot. There is nice groveling at the end. Five stars!

I gave this author 2 books worth of my time and it is time I will never get back. I thought I hated Sherry Thomas’s books, but THIS author gives her a run for her money. I don’t think I’ve ever hated characters the way I hate these characters.

These MMC’s are terrible. I guess there’s nothing quite as Alpha as having the emotional intelligence of a child.
And I WISH these FMC’s were as strong and intelligent, as the author seems to think they are.

These books are supposed to be about repairing the relationship, but there’s barely anything done. The author just equates to woman putting up with bullshit as strength. And the men do almost no self reflection. It’s always other people who cause a problem.

It would have been more acceptable if there was atleast 50 more pages of groveling.
