Jennifer McMahon is my all time favorite author. Every book of hers sinks its hooks into me, refusing to allow me to put it down until I finish it. And I'm a sucker for stories about generational trauma.

Great plot with a particularly immersive last 100 pages, but the characters were not as strong as in The Children on the Hill imo.
