A little slow and dense for me at times but a really great read.

amazing. changed my view on studying law. Ruth Bader Ginsburg's style of law is very delicate and fine.

Rating: 3.8
Genre: Nonfiction; Biography/Memoir
Final Thoughts: The way that the book was structured to show all of RBG's words through articles she'd written as a little girl up to her remarks on the 2015-16 Term (which was the most recent at the time it was published) was a cool way of showing her progress in life. However, as a person who is not well-versed in law jargon it was at times a bit harder for my head to wrap around certain chapters that were filled to the brim, unsurprisingly considering she was a Supreme Court Justice, with legal cases. There were two main reasons why this book was saddening to read for me. One being just how much the US Supreme Court has regressed since this book was published 5 or 6 years ago. The second is that I felt like there was so much repetition in the speeches/articles written that I felt like I gained more information about cases rather than about Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

As much as I like and admire RBG this book just wasn't that engrossing. Some parts were very interesting but overall I wasn't that enthralled

This was career oriented versus personal life, but does highlight what a healthy relationship with a significant other can bring into your life as RBG blew past discrimination and helped others in the court system with similar obstacles. This book brought to my attention how far we've come legally since the mid-1900s. RBG's life could be broken down into several books, but I appreciated this book providing a general overview of her accomplishments.

I thought this was going to be a memoire, so I went into this expecting something completely different.
What it is, is a collection of articles and speeches on a wide variety of topics, from gender equality, to supreme court history.
While interesting and poignant, it was not what I was expecting, so that was a bit disappointing.

This wasn’t the type of autobiography I thought I was going to be reading, but it was interesting getting to know RBG through her many impactful works of writing.

Ok, I finished this halfway b/c I had to return it back to the library. What I read of it, I liked.
