I highly suggest this book for anyone who might consider themselves a feminist or even just anyone who knows someone who identifies as a woman. (Which is nearly everyone!)
Very great read, definitely worth the time. I highly suggest the audiobook as well!!

With that said, I think this book pairs well with the new BBC mini podcast series “Witch” which makes up for what this book might not have had. I’d also recommend reading this book along with “Women Who Run with the Wolves” and “Hags: The Demonization of Middle Aged Women.”

A few favourite points: the villainisation of older women (aka, women who no longer serve a purpose to men): womens reproduction rights and women who are, voluntarily, childless; and the sexism and misogyny in medicine, particularly midwifery, stemming from the fear of 'witch' healers
