Man Cave, by author Angel Gelique, is a gruesome extreme horror, or splatterpunk, book. This has been on my TBR for a hot minute, and by chance, I saw a post by Angel mentioning she had copies of the audiobook to give out. When I said I RAN to her inbox, it was lightning fast in hopes of scoring a copy! As you can see, I gifted one!

Where do I even begin? Man Cave took me on a dreadful journey while in a horrifying chokehold. I devoured this book. I couldn’t get enough. If you are unaware of what splatterpunk is, you may not want to start with this one. It is INTENSE and very gory. It involves rape, torture, and unending violence.

In Man Cave, we meet Ben. What about Ben? He is an abusive scumbag and a shit human. He only thinks with his STD-infested junk with no regard for his target. Sadly, Amber and Sophie are in the wrong place and at the wrong time. I must admit that this is one of my fears when going to a bar. When the girls rejected the advances of Ben, he decided he would not take no for an answer. At Ben’s hands, the girls are met with unspeakable torture and unfathomable pain. In great detail, we see what Ben’s unhinged mind holds and his thought process.

I don’t want to give the story away, so you must read it yourself. What happens to Amber and Sophie?? Is Ben unstoppable? A fantastic twist at the end leaves it open for book two. I am 100% down for a book two!! Sunny Wong did a great job breathing life into Ben and the other characters. Just listening to him, you knew Ben was a dirtbag.

Thank you to Angel Gelique for gifting me an Audible copy of Man Cave. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
