I’m reminded what hope feels like

Every time I read this poem I feel the darkness recede. I feel lighter. I remember that patriotism isn’t a flag on a pickup truck. I remember what hope feels like.

An excellent poem. I think the spoken word version is more powerful but it's nice to have the whole text. Although I wished I'd waited for her collection which will be published in September 2021 - £10 is a lot for one poem
