I can’t believe I read a whole book based around tennis, but TJR is the only author who could get me to do that. IMO not her strongest book but still an enjoyable read.

I’ve been so looking forward to this book.  I bought it when it first came out but gave it to a friend, so it’s taken a while for it to come through from library.  I loved Evelyn, Daisy and  Malibu Rising, so I’d big expectations.
The writing and pace of story telling is great.  It really sucked me in.  The let down for me was the detail on the tennis.  I regularly attend tennis matches as a spectator, so should have enjoyed all the detail of the games.  But the reality was I just skipped through the detail to the end to see if Carrie won the game or not.
For everything else in the book, I really enjoyed.  I loved how the relationships Carrie had was told, be it her father, Bowe or her opponents.  The pace of the book was great, as was the structure bring us through the 4 Grand slams.
