It was depressing, hard to get through. But the middle of the book was good. Just not for me. I already also knew what the story was about.
I didn’t cry. And I am a crier.

I’m always amazed at John Green’s ability to write convincingly from different perspectives. I don’t know if he has personal experience with cancer but the perspectives in this book seem real to me. This book has the right amount of existential dread for my tastes and also feels realistic - no corny happy endings or anything like that

I found ghe style of writing interesting and easy to read and the romance was really unique but i can’t say i liked the main character much because of her obsession with rationalising everything to her views and discounting those of everyone else, even her parents. It made her seem quite egotistical. The beginning was a bit cliché but there were some funny plot twists.

This book was so amazing!! I may have read this book MONTHS ago, but I still remember major points from this novel. I was sitting in my chair, eating chocolate, drinking tea, and crying so hard. I can't wait to reread this novel when I have time. I was so shocked when I finished it because it didn't feel like the end.

Not necessarily appropriate for young readers. But very interesting.

One of the best books I’ve ever read. It’s sad in tone from the start and you begin to expect a very predictable plot, but I’m happy to say it does not. Connecting with the characters is easy, and you begin to admire them as they find light and hope in a not so hopeful situation. Again this is another example where the book is better then the film. Definitely recommend if you can handle tragedy and minimal adult content
