I think this book was maybe good for what it was, but I just did not enjoy it much. It felt like too many storylines to actually develop to a satisfying degree, so the author just... did not. It all felt very surface-level to me, both the plotlines and the characters. It wasn't satisfying to me, and I never thought about the story at any point I wasn't actively reading it, and even then sometimes my mind wandered. The pop culture references weren't my thing, and I just didn't feel much of a connection to the book as a whole. Noy my thing, unfortunately. Maybe if you tend to enjoy this type of story you'll have better luck.

3.5 starts rounded up. Cute for what it is. Not that original or subtle, but a nice, light palate cleanser for me.
