an incredibly atmospheric and strange story where nothing much happens until the surprising, wrenching end. repetition is used to great effect. blue, blue, everything is blue. it drenches you in melancholy and swallows you like the sea. it feels extremely current even though it’s 18 years old, but this does align with booksta preoccupation with this book currently. loved it. i think i might like to read the print version next time.
