Even though I read this a while ago, I'm still processing it. I hadn't read anything about it beforehand. I just loved the cover. It turned out to be much more slice of life than anything else, but with some dark secrets (very dark) and a lot of loving nostalgia poured into it as well. I think this is one that would be a great reread, since now I know what everything means. The writing style and author's voice were more unique, and stood out in a good way to me. I'd definitely pick up more from him.

4/5 stars
Not my usual read, but I enjoyed it much more than I have other realistic fiction coming of age stories.
The characters were loveable, the story was entertaining, and the switching between the past and future was very fluid.
Going into this book I wasn't sure what to expect, and I'm glad I gave it a shot!

This book never really started for me. I thought thereā€™d be a stronger paranormal element or a building of tension as the ghost club continued week by week. For me there was no mounting tension. the plot just essentially fizzled out it was well written though

This wasn't much like what I expected so I was a bit disappointed, and I also felt like the pacing and plot structure could have been better, but other than those things, this book is alright.

Don't go into this thinking it's gonna be scary or very plot driven, it's more of a reflective character driven story.
