Great read aloud for small children introducing them to the story.

I read this book via “Dracula Daily”, an in-real-time delivery of the classic novel Dracula. On the date of each journal entry I would receive an email from that days part of the story to follow it in real time. While this experience was novel and a very cool way to experience the book, this format definitely would have been better if it was my second reading. Often there were weeks without a journal entry which made it hard to follow the characters and made the long drawn out, boring portions of the book even more drawn out and boring. Otherwise I’d say this is a solid book that is mostly gripping and definitely original. Rightfully a classic.

It’s a great story, very atmospheric and suspenseful, but my word Bram Stoker was in need of a good editor.

Brilliant. My initial feeling is 4 stars but it’s possibly 5 stars.

I read it over a few months as part of a book club. I think reading it slowly took away something from the experience so I’d like to reread it someday at a more normal pace.

I read this book in college for my "Gothic Fiction" literature course. I read it in one night and then gave blood the next day. Boy, did that freak me out!
