4★: ENTERTAINING BOOKISH GRAPHIC NOVEL. I found most of this book amusing. The artwork is on the simplistic side, but in a good way. It complements the message very well rather than distracting or overshadowing.

According to GR, the cartoonist Tom Gauld “draws weekly cartoons for the Guardian newspaper and New Scientist magazine. He has created eight covers for the New Yorker and a number of comic books. He lives and works in London.” I may look for a way to follow his Guardian cartoons. Published a year ago, Revenge of the Librarians has a 3.97-star average by 3,224 reviewers AND it won the 2023 Will Eisner Comic Industry Award for Best Humor Publication.
