A cute middle school comfort book. I wish Christian had a better ending though but I’m happy for tucker and clara

I need to get my thoughts together, as a lot of things happened in Boundless.

This and other reviews can also be found on my blog (un)Conventional Bookviews

Boundless is kind of without bounds, and in some ways it could have been better if it had some boundaries. Clara, Christian and Angela leave for Standford at the very beginning of Boundless, and the readers follow them through information as they arrive. The first night, they are taken out of their rooms by the older students for a run around campus in the dark, and Clara gets to know one of Angela’s roommates, as well as the PHE who’s part of her dorm. She also manages to use just a tiny bit of glory to heal a girl’s broken ankle – without anybody noticing that something is up.

Aw, that was lovely. As with all love triangles, I feel bad for the loser, but I'm a happy camper. :)

*** SPOILER ALERT ***

The ending: I mean, really? That was so, so wrong. They love each other? Okay. I can respect that. But the fact that he had to become a prophet to be able to be with her? Not okay. At all. I'm not saying this just because I rather she be with Christian, but because I liked Tuck just the way he was and I don't like the idea of super changing a character just so he can be with the MC. And worse, Christian just started avoiding them? I don't think Chris would do that. First because he was Clara's BF and second because he is not this kind of guy.

In conclusion: Loved the book. Hated the ending.

I don't envy any author that has to wrap up a series and attempt to make every reader happy...it just isn't possible. With that said, Hand did a good job with the conclusion of the Unearthly series.

I honestly believe that my problem here is that there was just too much time between me reading book 2 and then jumping into book 3. Thankfully my sister just finished book 2 so I was able to ask her what happened at the end of that book without having to re-read anything.

I enjoyed the characters and seeing the relationship evolve for Christian and Clara. I will always be a Christian fan...don't get me wrong, Tucker was great but I have been rooting for Christian all along. I won't say anymore on the relationship front here as there are some definite twists and turns throughout the book that the reader should experience for themselves.

Now...I know a lot of people have been rating this fairly high. Based on the reviews I jumped right into this but overall I just liked it. If you enjoyed the first two books, you will for sure want to read this one and most likely won't be disappointed.

So I just finished this book and I cannot stop crying. I have snot streaming down my face and I'm so happy with how this series ended. It was beautiful, and heart breaking and just so perfect I don't know how I'm ever going to sleep tonight. Thank you Cynthia Hand for writing such a beautiful series!

I can't believe that this trilogy is over. I'm not ready to leave or forget about it. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this installment as much as I did the first two, and I think a big part of that was that I read the first two books together, and then waited so long to read the third. I also blame that for why I didn't feel as attached to the characters in this one. Overall, Unearthly is a fantastic trilogy and definitely one of my favourite series!
