Could not put it down + want to move to the little town it is based in (minus the murder aspect of it). Think murder in Stars Hollow, with a British Investigator and some french thrown in.

Going to check out the second eventually, but I am wary of mystery series that always take place in the same small town...how can one small town have so many mysterious murders? But I the characters and writing were so engaging, I am hoping I can set that aside and just keep reading. Because an 11-book series is something I can get on board with!

Ignoring the terrible narrator ( I usually do audiobooks) one could see how the Gamache Series grew into such a popular read.
