Cute book. No real substance. But really really adorable.

You know those small, backyard swimming pools? Well, what if you have a whale in it? You make the best of the situation!
Some fun moments:
I loved the mom who is oblivious to it all.
I loved the surprise ending.
I loved the end pages.

Update: I just read this aloud to my 7th graders, and they LOVED it! They thought it was really funny.
Cute story. I like the perseverance of the little boy trying to get the whale out of his pool. Some humorous moments. Ending was fun.

This book is ridiculous and I loved it. It's cute and it would be fun to read to a child. The concept is silly and adorable.

This book needs to be paired with a nonfiction book or two about whales so that children aren’t left with misconceptions.

Definitely going to use this in a future storytime. It's a little silly but there are some awesome things in it that will help with interacting with the preschoolers. There's counting and silly suggestions and little funny things tucked in on the pages that, while small, are still large enough that most of the group will be able to see (for example...the shark fin in the pool next door.)
