I hated her girlfriend and think she would be way better off with someone else who didn't doubt her every step of the way. Also the dialogue throughout the book felt pretty forced and unnatural.

Edit:
The more I think about it the more mad I get. Her family comes around so fast and she is so quick to forgive them for the months of abuse she endured. And her friends are totally unsupportive and make it all about their/her girlfriend's feelings. Rukhsana needs better friends.

I don't know about every one else but this book is FRICKIN AMAZING. This book knocks down lots of barriers like religion, islamophobia , homophobia e.t.c . I love it for those reasons and more, especially since most Muslims stiffen when the topic of LGBTQ+ is raised, and it shows how they need to be informed that yes, gay people are real, and how we should except anyone's life choices because LOVE IS ❤️
