Delphine de Vigan is an incredible writer. This is a deeply personal work of auto-fiction where she takes interviews and stories told to her by members of her family and puts together the narrative of Lucile's, life. Lucile is her mother and dealt with bipolar disorder. Delphine goes back to Lucile's childhood to try and see where she might have started developing this disease. It is also a story about secrets, memories, and the things that we wish we knew but that hadn't had happened to our family members.
Deeply emotional, I'm looking forward to reading more from her.
