A beautiful collection of letters about love, from and to people like Simone de Beauvoir, Rainer Maria Rilke, Frida Kahlo and Zora Neale Hurston.

I must first preface this with the fact that I am an avid letter writer myself and this has strengthened my resolve to continue to pen letters to the people that I love.
While reading, I kept track of how many letter moved me to tears with their genuiness, sincerity, palpable longing, and empathy. I wept through seven letters while reading this collection (though one letter made me cry twice, so I actually cried eight times) and I am amazed at how, despite these letter being from so many dofferent times, they are all united in the fact that they exist because one human being loved another and decided to try to put the words of their love to paper.
A good read! <3
