I LOVED this book. It kept me guessing and guessing on who the killer of Andie Bell and Sal Singh could be. Most mystery books make it pretty obvious but never lay the groundwork in a meaningful way. This author does.

Every chapter kept me on my toes. At times I thought this book was reading my mind and then a curveball would be thrown in and I’d be left reeling.

I loved following along with Pip and Ravi making my own theories as they went. I also loved the subplot
Spoiler of these two crushing hard on each other. It is what I like to call a sweet and slow burn. There’s something so wholesome about the both of them, I can’t help but root for them!

I love Pip. I love Ravi. I love Pip and Ravi together. But most importantly and to end this review properly. RIP Sal and RIP
Spoiler Barney

Going into this I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve moved a little away from YA reads this year but had such a great time jumping back in. The mystery is exciting and intriguing; it isn’t so simple that you can guess the ending right away nor annoying in that the protagonist misses the most obvious clues. I loved the little romance and near the end was grinning with excitement and yelling at parts of the reveal. Would definitely recommend for a quick, easy, yet fun read.

Spoiler Personally, I loved how Holly Jackson was able to mislead the reader into thinking they knew who the killer was, while leaving sneaky clues leading to the real killer the whole time. The perfect example of this was when David and Stanley were seen by Pip and Ravi outside the town meeting while they were arguing. I was so sure they had something to do with the case. However, I did find it extremely inappropriate for Pip and Ravi to have a relationship in the end since Pip is a 17-year-old teenage girl who's in high school and Ravi is a 20-year-old man. Overall, Holly really outdid herself with this murder mystery book and I'm excited to see what will come next of this story.
