The building of the 4 girls' relationships was well done, I felt like one of the girls. I could vividly imagine the Norwegian scenery and could almost smell the fresh air. There were a few predictable features to the novel, which I guessed before the 40-page mark. But there were still a few surprises along the way. The ending was very fast-paced- with a random supernatural element. Overall it was a good read, but don't expect to have your mind blown.

This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! I made the mistake of reading it before bed...and then not being able to sleep. Good thriller!

The Hike is another incredibly fun thriller by Lucy Clarke. A page turner for sure, I practically read it in one sitting. Pacing gets a little rushed at the end, and I found the conclusion of the mystery somewhat disappointing. As always, however, Clarke does an incredible job of crafting complicated and deeply flawed, deeply human characters, particularly the women.

This had a lot of promise but ended up being extremely meh by the end. I definitely enjoyed elements of the story, but there were quite a few plot points I could have done without. I feel like it's common for thriller authors to try to pack in as many conflicts as possible when it just  doesn't have to be that deep.
