Pretty fun and interesting start to a series so far.  Will continue and see how it progresses.

Wow, this book really delivered on what it promises. Kaiju action, inventive twists on the genre, comedy, character development in the present and the flashbacks, a certain amount of action and horror. The characters too feel familiar yet they’ve all got their quirks that will be revealed in time. Will definitely stick with this series.
