I just….. wow. I really didn’t see that coming. and I DEFINITELY didn’t see the second hidden little jab coming either. This was an emotional rollercoaster of a book but it kept me on my toes!!

Picked up this book because it was on Kindle Unlimited and I enjoyed the authors Tiktok account. But oh man was this a hot mess of a book. Only reason I didn’t DNF was I wanted to know who the killer was and WOW was that ending unsatisfying and way out of left field. Not a single character had any redeeming qualities or a single shred of my sympathy or respect left by the end. Not to mention just how entirely unrealistic or feasible this entire investigation and scenario was from a legal standpoint. We also had some very poor references/depictions of assault and police brutality. I reserve one star reviews for books I DNF but honestly I am tempted to break my rule for this one.

would not call this a thriller i was not very thrilled while reading this hdhddjsbxn it read more like a generic mystery except i guessed half of it

adam was stupid as hell he deserved everything he got

not the worst crime book i’ve read but like .. u could do better

also was she actually pregnant when she told adam or was that a lie bc it was never brought up again but then 11 years later she has an 8 yr old so ???? was she just lying????? also why is her name summer be so fr

having her end up with bob at the end and revealing it was them that planned all of this felt like the author got to the end of the book and was like fuck wait i forgot to reveal the killer lemme just speedrun this rq

 

eleanor is giving the vibe that she’d date her son if it wasnt ,,, yknow ,,,, incest. but i did think it was funny when sarah read her to filth
