Was going to give 3 but it was bumped up because I genuinely didn’t expect the twist, but at the same time it didn’t SHOCK me. Sarah gives me big Amy dunne vibes, just not as well written. Girlboss gatekeep gaslight ✌🏼
Most of it was boring repetitive and predictable, don’t see what all the fuss was about. Idk why they got married in the first place.

I just….. wow. I really didn’t see that coming. and I DEFINITELY didn’t see the second hidden little jab coming either. This was an emotional rollercoaster of a book but it kept me on my toes!!

Eh. Feels equally like a good idea only half executed, and a bandaid ending when they couldn't find the right one. Also the pov from his side is generally gross, honestly.

Not at all accurate to actual law/true crime but overall an exciting read

I have very mixed feelings about this book, at first, I was enjoying the book but as it went on it become very all over the place and things didn't add up. For example
when they get the interview with Kelly's stalker Jesse when he mentions seeing her with a cop the cop explains it away as oh it's her husband, he's a cop but in my head if he's a stalker he would know if he was her husband or not just another cop and they don't look into it anymore cop or anyone else in the investigation and that annoyed the hell out of me. Obviously, I know it was done on kind on purpose since they didn't want him to get off anyways but little things like this annoying throughout the book.
The book just turned into a shit storm at the end, and it wasn't a great one it just more made me pissed more than anything and felt like a waste of time.

What in the young adult wattpad did I just read???
I do not understand the hype about this book.

I despised every single character. I didn't enjoy the writing. All the sentences are the same length. The entire book reads very wooden. There were very few emotions, and the thoughts are split up. I got so annoyed reading it. There was nothing I liked. I skimmed the entire middle. The interactions between people are cringey. There was nothing great here.
(Did you enjoy that paragraph? Because that's how THE ENTIRE BOOK is written!!)

There are a ton of plot holes as well!
Every character is pretentious and both main characters are convinced everyone is obsessed with them (or at least coming on to them.)
Also FMC has a random nighttime visitor? And it's awkwardly written and then NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN??
I'm just going to assume it was Bob but maybe he's not "the void" after all

The reveal wasn't a surprise.

I'm also annoyed that no one batted an eye at the wife defending her husband in court
or the fact that she got married the day after he was executed.
seems wrong but I don't care enough to give it a Goog.

Oh boy. I did not see that coming. One of the better thriller/murder mysteries I’ve read in awhile. The twist was WILD although in hindsight I shouldn’t have been too shocked.
