+It's a lightly emotional, tongue and cheek escape from reality that lets you enjoy the Happily-For-Now it delivers.
+The steam is poetic enough not to alienate but descriptive enough to be 'edge-of-spicy'.
+I'd say this is an excellent entry level MM romance.
-While the political concepts and plotline were oversimplified in a very 'made for Hollywood' way, it doesn't detract from the romance plotline if you don't let it. For myself, I deducted for it because it was a touch *too* simple.
-I appreciate that the mention of a therapist for one of the MCs, but it's only once and he still does the 'silent treatment' multiple times. The fact that this isn't really addressed for the future makes me uneasy about the relationship's foundation.
-It was a little slow to start with the real tone of the book (which is mostly sweet and funny) which I lowered my score for. Because I feel like it might lose people when it doesn't start off on the right foot, or when it changes (seemingly suddenly) to its Rom-Com intent.
