Blue Summer Part One- Everly Taylor

5-stars

Blue Summer was the first book I’ve read by this author but it certainly won’t be my last! I had no idea what to expect when I dove into this one but this storyline far exceeded anything I could have hoped for. It’s so detailed, entertaining, intense and oh so steamy! I was captivated right from the get go and ended up reading this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop reading.

This author took me on such a beautifully described journey, one that I wouldn’t mind living in. The story is written with so much detail that I could easily picture everything playing out in my mind, which kept me highly entertained. I cannot wait to continue reading this storyline with Part Two.

If you are looking for a one of a kind read look no futher, this is the book for you!

I really liked Lillie from this series. This is a cute story. With a few different character I like that you hear it from these guys heads. I was Suprised at the turn of events in this part of the series and am glad this is only part one as am looking forward to seeing where this journey goes.

Blue Summer Part One by Everly Taylor is sexy Fantasy read. The Zayed are feared by the humans including Lillie. Lillie is kidnapped by a sorcerer and then meets up with some Zayed after her escape. She discovers that these blue men may not be so bad after all. It had a slow start, but once it picked up I was hooked.

This was very interesting to read. I liked the characters and how they were developed. At times I couldn't help but think that I was reading an adult version of The Smurfs! I mean... the guys are blue, the girl is blonde with a white dress, and there's an evil sorcerer who talks to an animal side kick. (shrugs shoulders) It was entertaining to say the least! Since she left it with a big cliff hanger, I now need to read the second part to find out how it ends!

Definitely an adult book.

I loved the characters. I loved how much the Zayed gave her respect and treated her like a person. Most of all they didn't treat her possessively. Unlike all of the reverse harem books, all 4 men were respectful of Lillie and each other. There wasn't an ounce of possessiveness at all and that was a breath of fresh air. While there were some steamy sexy scenes, those were outplayed by the story itself. It added to the story instead take away from it. I can't wait to read book two!

I went into this book with really no expectations, but from the start, the sarcasm and easy writing hooked me. There is much I wish could have been done differently. I think the speed of the book was too fast, I would have liked to see more development in characters and in relationships. I would have enjoyed more tension in the romance, and this book could have most definitely been longer. All that being said, it was entertaining to say the least! Though I do feel the plot was rushed and could have used more development, I did really enjoy this read. It was a bit cringe at times, but I just couldn't stop reading. Is it the best book I ever read? No. Will I read it again? Yes. A quick pallet cleanser and one of my new guilty pleasures. Definitely looking forward to book two!

This is a very quick read from this author. Everly Taylor has a way of righting that leaves you chucking as you are reading because there is subtle humor intertwined in the plot.. The blue men help Lillie on a bad day and she ends up on the adventure of a lifetime. This is a fantasy paranormal tale that you just can't miss. The characters are well-written. The plot is enthralling. The descriptions will have you thinking of your childhood. I can't wait to get to book 2 to see what happens with Lillie and the blue men.

Blue Summer Part One by Everly Taylor
4 Stars!!!!

I love finding new authors and new series. This is the first book by this author I have read and I was not disappointed. I thought that the author had a refreshing plot and story. I also really found myself getting lost in this book. I could not put it down.

I felt as though I was right there in the action of the book and I could feel the emotions that the characters were feeling. I really like fantasy sci fi type books and stories and this really helped to fill that. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Blue men with no women of their kind. Mushroom houses. An evil sorcerer.
Meeting the Zayed changes Lillie’s life forever. An accidental encounter causes her to be kidnapped by the evil sorcerer. He thinks she knows more than she does. I love Lillie, she is a strong, independent woman who knows how to take care of herself. She isn’t a woman that needs to be rescued. Where does she fit in with the Zayed community? Why does she feel as if she belongs when she hasn’t felt as if she belonged anywhere her entire life.
I really enjoyed the characters and the relationships she developed. The book is during a 48 hour period so everything happens very quickly. Heath, Clay, Brian, and Chief are very well developed and I felt connected. The book ends on a total cliffhanger, but I was totally engrossed. I had to know what happened and immediately bought book two and finished it right after book one.
