Kathryn Moon really knows how to write characters full of heart and personality. Love all the characters in this one. Lola has some pretty bad panic attacks and they were very realistic. There is also a bit of thriller with this one as it continues in the timeline of the first book in this series and there is a villain. One of my favorite things about this world is that sexuality is not compartmentalized and labeled. It is fluid and no one questions it or bats an eye. Attraction is based more on a person-to-person basis as opposed to what gender someone is. Anyway, it's good. But if you don't like sex scenes with more than two people, you may want to pass on this one.

To everyone who kept saying Lola was an ultimate comfort read......I get it now. I thought, "Lola's story is likely going to be so much darker than Baby's, how is anyone finding this a comfort read??" and I knew I was going to need to barrel through part one and <i>IMMEDIATELY</i> into part two (I was correct and had it ready on standby!) but DAMN, it's so good!!! Cozy, but at times suspenseful. Heartbreaking but also toothachingly sweet in the best way. If you thought the Howler's were amazing and "how could you pick just one favorite??" then Lola's men are the definition of an impossible choice. How are they all so perfect???

I'm already deep into part two and falling deeper and deeper in love with Lola's journey and all her Alphas, plus Leo and Rake!

Super sexy omega verse read but with very fleshed out characters! Having Lola's story spread out over two full-length books really allowed room and time for her to develop relationships with each member of the pack individually and without feeling rushed. Lola's backstory is pretty upsetting, and I tended to skim over the (brief) flashbacks, which made the story feel especially dark compared to my normal reads - so please look at content warnings.
