I will write more later, but for now, this book is exquisite in its beautiful broken melancholy and bittersweet sad girl apotheosis.

Glad to have started reading this book whist sitting by the sea this past weekend. It would have also been well digested in the bathtub. This is a multi-layered short novel about a girl who is convinced she is a mermaid or at the very least a half-mermaid. Watery metaphors abound. Gothic, moody, mythical. Loved it.
