Este libro vino en mi Owlcrate de Agosto y, honestamente, no pensé que fuera a disfrutarlo. No he escuchado muchas cosas sobre él además de que vino en el Owlcrate, así que no le tenía fé. La idea del libro sonaba genial y al final resultó que el libro es una maravilla, así que déjenme preguntar esto: ¡¿POR QUÉ NADIE ESTÁ HABLANDO DE ESTA OBRA MAESTRA?! ¡¿EH?!
Este es uno de esos libros que se leen con una lapicera en mano. Con un anotador. Con algo al lado para poner tomar nota de todo lo maravilloso que se puede encontrar en estas páginas. Yo lo rayé todo jajaj. Sí, soy un monstruo. Escribí sobre mi copia de esta novela, la rayé, la subrayé e hice comentarios en los márgenes hasta que me quedé sin lugar xD. Porque este es uno de esos libros que lees y tenés que anotarlo todo como para poder observar cómo hizo la autora para crear semejante libro. Porque vale la pena analizarlo todo, criticarlo todo y admirarlo todo con especial atención. Personalmente, amé tomar nota de cómo la autora construyó esta historia y cómo creaba tensión y asgjhfehjfkre todo.
LOS PERSONAJES SON SUMAMENTE REALES. Son lo mejor. La protagonista es una chica inusual en la literatura pero extremadamente necesaria hoy en día. Tenemos como referencia la idea de chicas fuertes y badass para que le hagan justicia a todo, pero la protagonista de "The Hearts we Sold" merece igual de mérito. Es una chica inusual pero asombrosa. Los personajes como ella suelen ser personajes secundarios en los libros, y poder ver algo como esto fue muchísimo mejor. TODOS LOS PERSONAJES FUERON CONSTRUIDOS A LA PERFECCIÓN.

I absolutely loved this book. It has an element to it that gives off a vibe that makes it seem like it could be real. The quality is great and has real situations that people go through but with plot twists that made it better.

I really wanted to love this :--( I wasn't in love with the writing, it felt as if the author was writing by an instruction manual, and I really didn't care for the characters. There just wasn't much to them? Also once again, this is the kind of book where the concept is so intriguing but the execution could have been a thousand times better. I'm not saying this is a bad book but another person would have liked it better

*3.5* The initial concept was interesting, however other elements of the story took away from this concept. At times making the story boring and seeming a bit pointless. Overall, I don't think the storyline was executed as well as what it could've been.

It was a nice, surprisingly light read. The chemistry between Dee and James was really well done, not rushed like most other YA stories and I genuinely liked all the main characters, there wasn’t really one I couldn’t stand but I found it hard to really connect and get super invested in them, they were kind of flat.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I was not as engaged in the romance aspect, but that wasn't even a problem as it didn't dominate the story and I still very much loved the characters, the premise, and the universe that was created. There were just enough intriguing strings involved to keep the book moving and to hold my interest. It was far more science fiction than I realized and I loved that about it! A smooth blending of sci-fi, supernatural, and romance.

this book ripped my heart out and i loved every second of it. found family, demons, and my new favorite book boyfriend. what more could i ask for?
