After enjoying one and two so much, I was a bit disappointed by this. It's still good, but it didn't give me that feeling of "I need to finish this NOW" that The Strain and The fall did. The plot is a bit messy and I got myself confused a couple of times, having to flick back to earlier pages and reread. It still gets four starts because I love the series as a whole, and there were definitely parts that I seriously enjoyed despite the overall feeling. I think we can all say though that it's all forgiven since we were blessed with the existence of Quinlan :)

They went a bit religious in this last book in the trilogy, which was a bit unexpected and a bit disappointing, as it seemed so scientific in the beginning. Still a great read!

An interesting ending, and not disappointing. The loss of Setrakian hurts the book, he was the best character.

Pretty happy with this last chapter of The Strain series.
I actually like how it ended and it was actually a bit surprising. This book series has also really opened me up to more horror genre books.
I want to point out that the alternating perspectives at the end forces you to blast through the last 100 pages... makes for an even more intense ending. The other books seemed to have this at the end as well now that I think of it. Good job.
Read this series. it's well worth it and as of now after watching 1 full episode of the show it seems to be pretty great as well no matter how bad everyone says it ends up being.

A good conclusion to an entertaining series. I've enjoyed all three books. The development of the characters and the world they exist in is paced really well and although I found some of it predictable it was still a good read.
