J'ai eu du mal à entrer dedans
Lu en une après-midi, mais sans vraiment m'attacher à l'histoire. Intéressante introspection et en tant que représentation du vide laissé par la seconde guerre mondiale chez la seconde génération, et l'usage qui est fait de cette post-mémory, du lien aveca photographie qui marque et rappelle la mort à la fois
Still, je trouve ce roman très français, très parisien, très centré sur le moi - en même temps c'est de l'introspection
Mais j'arrive plus avec ce genre d'écrits :/

Hadn't read something in French in almost a year! But I still know how, phew.

Professor Graham recommended this to me years ago.

I think this was not fiction, but I am not certain.

Dora Bruder försvann 1941, hon hittades aldrig. I boken, med samma namn, undersöker Modiano hur Doras liv såg ut. Han går igenom dokument och gör intervjuer med personer som rört sig i samma område eller gått på samma skola. Han tecknar ett porträtt av en upprorisk judisk flicka som utan de penselstråken hade förpassats till evigheten utan att någon vetat om att hon levt. Men kanske får vi egentligen inte veta någonting om Dora. Kanske är allt bara påhittat. Modiano skriver enkelt men svårt och jag gillar det inte så mycket.
