Vulnerable and honest. Roxane Gay is a marvel.

The repetition of these short chapters made me think of the repetition in my own journal when processing long-standing conflicts. Like waves crashing against the same old rocks. She said, "What is it going to take for you to find the strength to change?" and I said, "Ouch." I read this quickly - Roxane's talent made the violent and difficult subject matter very readable.
