made me laugh! there's a LOT going on and the names were a little hard to keep track of because of all the different characters, but they were pretty well fleshed out considering the length of the novel.

A comedy of errors set in Sicily from the author of Inspector Moldybanana. I enjoyed it.

Not my usual choice of reads but such is the beauty of my #2015ReadingChallenge & here is my #FunnyBook choice It's the story of a small town in 19th century Sicily & the tension between an independent township & the Italian 'outsider' ruling class who have decided to open the new theatre with an opera much loathed by the townsfolk who each of them rebel in their own ways The narrative jumps around a timeline of about a week leading up to the performance & is enriched with humourous perspectives & encounters & culminates in a series of criminal acts… Thoroughly enjoyable & I'll be reading more of his (Andrea Camilleri's) work in future many of which are set in the same town.
