Hoo boy. This was a long and windy road to HEA. This couple legitimately goes from enemies to friends to it’s complicated to lovers. But it felt very realistic for their characters.

I initially didn’t want to deal with the slow burn, but tried the sample. I was hooked from Theo’s first interaction with Brooke. He’s supposed to be this suave guy who’s slept with everyone, and he completely bombs his first attempt to flirt with Brooke, which was absolutely hilarious to me.

Both go through quite a bit of character development so I was glad to see them do that before they entered a committed relationship.

Awesome book

Just discovered this shifter series by new to me author @c.j.primer

I adore shifter series and @c.j.primer has built an excellent world. I love reading the different takes on shifter life and the mating bonds by various authors. @suzanne_wright_author does this excellently and I have to say, so does @c.j.primer

The writing is fantastic and the story is the right amount of lengthy and engaging. The sex in this was hot, hot, hot.

The Six Pack series derives of six neighbouring packs, each with their own Alphas and autonomous in their own right. Forming a super pack alliance to protect their territory from a power hungry and dangerous pack, these six packs have each other’s backs.
Only the full moon can reveal who their fated mate is which I think adds a lovely relationship and tension building between the H and h before their fates are revealed. I also think it’s great that you can choose your mate if the bond is strong enough regardless of whether they are fated mates or not.

Anyway, check out her stories! Looking forward to Quinn and Jax’s story.

This book is soooooo good! I really loved the plot of the two of them being the two getting together. Even if it was a bit cliche lol. I really enjoyed it. I loved that you could see the love he had for her bloom from the beginning it was sooooo cute and I loved that when she told her sister about the sparks she felt whenever they touched her sister had an inkling that he was her mate. I really hope that the next book in the series is just as good as this one and the first one and that the story isn't solely like the first two where it focuses so much on the relationship between them and that spanning 50-ish chapters. I want to see like it sort of happen quickly and well and then like the story focus on their bond and the life they have etc. More of a story than their relationship being the plot. I feel like something hinky is going on in Denver and would love to see more of that in the next book as well!

4.5 // What an improvement from book one! I loved this installment. The character development is excellent for both Brooke and Theo but particularly for Theo. He has a lot more to overcome emotionally and his evolution is poignant.

When he’s a boy he loses his mother tragically which causes his father to become hard on him. Theo grows up blaming himself for her death and believes his father does too. He consider himself a screw up and numbs his pain with casual sex and his motorcycle, bailing always whenever emotional intensity rears its head.

Watching him crush on Brooke, mess it up more than once, take accountability for it while also taking the initiative to shore up the packs defenses is the maturity we want to see in him and has you cheering for his successes.

Meanwhile Brooke has one foot out the door because she’s unsure if she can trust him but also lacks confidence when she compares herself to his past conquests. She has to decide to jump in with both feet same as Theo and be willing to risk her heart.

2nd favorite (1st being Chase)

I just live for how CJ Primer writes. Not only are her characters so unique, but she makes you feel like you know them personally. Theo is no exception, with his bad boy exterior but sweet boy underneath it all, you can't help but turn the pages to see Brooke bring that sweet boy out. I've read this book AT LEAST 4X and each time I'm just as into it as the last

This was a rollercoaster of emotions.
Enemies to friends, friends to lovers to it’s complicated to HEA and I am here for it!

Yes it was a much slower pace than book 1 but because we know how Brooke was in book 1 we knew she wouldn’t be as reckless as Fallon was. When I originally thought it would be her and Theo together I was reluctant to read as I didn’t like Theo much in the first book. Boy did my opinion on him do a 180! He went through so much, his dad is a complete dick and it’s no wonder he struggled and rebelled In his youth.

There was so much more character development in this book than the first which was so much better. The way Theo developed throughout this book was brilliant. We saw him really trying to change his ways, sometimes he slipped up and went back to his old ways but he grew from this and this just made me love him even more.

Brooke was the sweetest girl and I’m so glad she came out of her shell. It was so sad to finally see why she tries to keep her wolf hidden.

The author has really grown in this book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
