IAN • OSKAR

My first Odessa book and it was really freaking good. If anyone can make me enjoy a Grandfather/Grandson Taboo story it's this woman. Ian is

This is my second read, as I prepare to read the rest of the series. It’s very light and fluffy despite the taboo content. Also I wouldn’t let the age gap bug you too much. He is a young pops. I actually appreciated the epilogue, it showed that Oskar grew up and matured. If he stayed the same immature, spoiled 18yo this would feel very squicky.

I’m going to start this off by saying this is VERY TABOO. Incest taboo. Which initially made me very uncomfortable. So if that also makes you uncomfortable then look away. This is a grandfather/grandson relationship.

Now here’s the thing, I found it recommended on Reddit when I was looking for a cuddly-fluffy read, I wasn’t aware it was taboo until I started reading the reviews. I was really hesitant to read it but I was desperately looking for a good read after a bunch of DNF’ing and I’ll admit all the positive reviews made me super curious. ( Thanks Imme for confirming there is indeed, a lot of cuddles. Go read her review! )

Different people like different things and personally, I don’t like incest, no shame to people who are into that, I’m just not. Just like I’m not into the daddy kink. What I am into is the caretaking, praise, clinginess that’s usually associated with that kink. So I did exactly what I normally do when reading something with daddy kink, I ignore and zoom past any mention of it.

I just pretended they weren’t blood related even if there were a lot of instances where it was trying to slap me in the face with it, if I pretend it’s not there then it’s not real. “Pops” is just a nickname! Not short for grandpop at all! Maybe he’s just a really big fan of sodapop

3.5 estrellas.
Fue una lectura entretenida, me gusto, y en general los personajes me agradaron.
Me encanto lo lindo que es Ian con Oskar, los dos son muy tiernos el uno con el otro.
Lo único que no me gusto tanto fue el epílogo, se siente extraño.

I don't know how I got here.
How did Odessa make me feel like this relationship was fine?

I enjoy the building up, the anticipation towards it all, it was hot actually and the plot quite solid on the first half until I'm a bit lost towards the end I think that's just a me problem.
Oh yeah I loved that they always touch starved of each other.
