3.75⭐️ I love stories about tortured creatives coz then I get to use the advice dropped in my life. Also loved the slowish burn between the couple because they pay off was worth it.

The author has written better stories. One thing that’s consistent is the lack of proofreading prior to publishing. An editor is listed, but more was needed.

Looking past the typo’s and editing issues, this book was fantastic. At times the words were so beautifully written that I often felt like I was reading erotic poetry instead of a novel. I originally chose this book as I thought that there was going to be some fantasy aspects to the story, and in a way there was, just not in the way I was expecting. The “romance” was hot hot hot and had me blushing and laughing out loud. It may have been the dirtiest book I have ever read. As strong as the romance game was with this book, there were also some pretty heavy life topics, some of which I found to be triggering due to past traumas. A few times I had to question if I should keep reading, but knowing it would be a quick read, I kept going, and I am glad that I did. I feel like it may have even been a little healing for me, which I was definitely not expecting from this book.
