I think this was the first of martina coles books to be published and the first one I have read. (I'm incredibly weird about reading stuff in order!!). I was pleasantly surprised by how much i liked it and it was interesting to have a main character that was a bit different.

O viso to veiksmo sukūryje - jauna moteris, kurios šeima valdo visą šį miestą. Tokio žanro (?) knygas skaitau gana gerai, bet ši paliko gerą įspūdį. Visai netyčia nusipirkau ir 2 dalį, tad irgi ruošiuosi perskaityti. Ak, kiek netikėtų atradimų savoje knygų lentynoje

This is the second book I read from Martina Cole. I enjoyed it more than the first, I felt the plot was stronger and there was more suspense. Still long-winded though...!

I found the book a bit slow to start but I am glad I finished it. Definitely some great and unexpected plot twists!

Mindless drivel that was occasionally amusing. There was just no substance to this book for me. I really struggled through all of the frippery. The constant reference to how the characters looked and the cliche "good looking woman has heart broken and proves herself in a world of men to become a matriarch". Sigh. I wanted to like this author but I won't be reading anything else.
