This one was an improvement from the first, overall I enjoyed the story and the way it was laid out, and there was a lot less pessimism in this book than the previous one.
Moderate: Cursing, Violence, Death, Murder, Injury/Injury detail, and Sexual content

This sequal seems to clean up some of the faults I found in the first book. Notably the more in your face real world political attacks. The agenda still exists in this world, but it is done in a much more fun and artistic way that science fiction does so well. Scalzi is a master at excellent dialog between characters. The book for sure felt like a middle book. The first half is all dialog pushing the plot left hanging from the first book. Nearly no sci-fi elements show up until the second half. Good thing he is so good at that dialog or it could have been a chore. Instead, its filled with good intrique and lots of whit. Will likely continue to the third book. Can't wait to find out Where Earth fits into all of this. (am sure its some sort of real world agenda, but thats fine. Still cool plot) .
Moderate: Sexual content
