I enjoyed listening to Anna Kendrick read it. I enjoyed when she talked about awards shows, but I do wish she had talked about filming more. There were a lot of fluff chapters that could’ve been cut, like her list of hypothetical holiday parties she’ll never throw, but she only mentions pitch perfect once in relation to her grandma dying. I think celebrities don’t understand I read celeb memoirs to hear about the celebrity of their lives, not them trying to be relatable to the general pop (when they definitely aren’t).

Although this wasn't as laugh out loud funny as the other celebrity memoir I read recently ([b:The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo|29405093|The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo|Amy Schumer|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1462657819s/29405093.jpg|48759154]), I still really like Kendrick's humor. I don't love recreational drug use (read: I hate it) so I didn't like hearing about her going to raves and doing ecstasy as a teenager but I got over it to enjoy the rest of the anecdotes of being a child actor, indie actor and now famous actor.

Read it but then I listened Anna narrate the book and it was SO MUCH BETTER! Probably because she's sarcastic, awkward, and "the crazy wants out!"

So... I did not finish this book, I got to around 66% and left it there for a while and then decided after a few weeks to leave it as is and not finish it. This does not mean I think the book is bad, quite the opposite. What I did listen to, I got the audiobook, was entertaining and Anna Kendrick reading her book gave it a very good touch but I don't think I'm the intended audience for this book or rather I dont feel like I am. There was a point in my life were I consumed celebrity gossip and anything to do with celebrities, especially my favorites which Anna Kendrick is, but that isn't me anymore and making myself finish a book to just to finish it isn't either.
Anyways, what I did listen to was funny and delivered with Anna Kendrick's trademark sass.

I'm still not a big fan of memoirs, but getting the audiobook transformed this into Anna Kendrick telling me stories to enliven my workday. And Anna Kendrick is funny.

Got myself on a comedic memoir kick. Really enjoy Anna Kendrick as an actress and comedian, and her book did not disappoint. Especially love on audio as read by the author.

Malia ter bastantes cousas problemáticas, Anna Kendrick cáeme guai, mólame o seu xeito de escribir e o seu sentido do humor vai bastante comigo. Entretívome, que é o que agardaba do libro.

I have loved Anna Kendrick as an actress for a long while. When I started watching her interviews on talk shows I wanted her to be my friend and thought that she might possibility be my spirit animal. Her personality drew me in and I wanted to know more about her the more than she expressed her opinions and made inappropriate jokes.

I have recently started getting into biographies and memoirs. When I remembered that she had written a book, I knew I had to read it. If you love Anna Kendrick's personality then you are bound to love her more once you read Scrappy Little Nobody! This book is pure, undiluted Anna. She is hilarious and in your face about her thoughts and opinions on a variety of topics. Not only that but she talks about her path to stardom and her life growing up. I loved getting to hear her voice because she read it the way she wanted it to be heard.
