I'm enjoying this series so far. I'm not sure I like it as much as Hitched but it's an entertaining series. there are two things I want to say about it though.
1. There is a lot of time jumping. What I mean is something will happen then the next chapter will say something like " The next two months I jumped into my regular routine of training and classes." And I understand each book is a year's time so there needs to be some skipping ahead but I feel like I missed out on all of her fun training. We never really see her train with Ryder or get an idea about any of the other spells and such she learns. In the middle of the fight, she's using a spell and saying it's something she learned months ago. For being such short books I think some of that fun stuff could have been added but she just goes from not knowing how to use her powers to be able to use them without watching her learn. I just felt it was a missed opportunity to watch Luna develop and to watch the team as a whole grow.
Ok now the hard part. I found something slightly disturbing and I didn't see any mention of it in other reviews so I feel the need to point it out... Also, it happens again in book 3.
OK, so we learn that Luna has skin walking abilities like her father. The very first time she uses them she takes over a teacher's body. She believes this teacher is sleeping with Ryder. She's jealous and thinks to herself, why can she have him but I can't. So the very first thing she does with this woman's body is to walk to Ryder's room and tries to seduce him. So I understand where the plot was taking this. She wanted to know how Ryder really felt about her. But what if Ryder was sleeping with her...Luna was just going to have sex with Ryder...in someone else's body???? Is that like second-hand rape? I mean kissing someone while in someone else's body is still a violation. I mean, nothing happened between them but I just found it disturbing. After this happens Luna is relieved and happy that Ryder turned down this teacher. She's also really worried that Ryder will find out about what she did. But she's not really remorseful for using someone else's body in a sexual way.

God this is boring.
Shes a whinge. All she does is flit from bloke to bloke. Just not into this. I tried.
