This book is quirky and meandering, and never quite enraptured my attention that I couldn't put it down. That being said, different concepts and phenomena that the author described really resonated and stuck with me. It almost served as a reflexive praxis to help me discern how I myself am interacting with the world around me.

Social media chapter dated; very good on bioregionalism and deep listening. notes valuable to recommend other good books

The author’s style was so ponderous and, to be blunt, so full of its own self-importance that I just could not manage to keep my eyes on the screen. I mean honestly, here’s a taste:

It is within a blasted landscape of neoliberal determinism that this book seeks hidden springs of ambiguity and inefficiency.

Everyone should read this, though it doesn’t offer any societal solutions it feels good to have these feelings validated.
