a wild ride !! the flashbacks were cool but kinda got in the way of the building up of the robbery plot. wish the safety deposit box was addressed more since it just felt convenient at the end. the characters were cool!

4.5 stars! REALLY good- gripping, super fucking strong girlboss of a protagonist who was fantastic bi rep. the bank heist setting interspersed with all her different pasts was really well done, i didn’t feel lost during the cutting between timelines. loved iris and wes, both had bonds to nora that i felt like i really understood and iris and nora were really cute!! the conclusion was satisfying, it all coming back to her mom, and i loved lee- absolute force of a woman and completely backing nora. i felt like nora’s journey was well written, developed, and spun, and i had a hell of a time reading it amidst the constant danger she was in. i live for reading smart and cunning and dangerous women, and she checked every box! my only criticism of this would be a clearer understanding of red + gray cap’s motivations- she manipulated them well but their original plan and motive seems fuzzy? overall, thrilling, intense, emotional, and raw with emotion and heavy themes- really well done! this is also the second of sharpe’s books i’ve read, and i feel similarly very positive about six times we almost kissed- excited to see what she does in YA in the future!

For me personally it put me in the biggest reading slump I had in a while. But that's me
