It was okay. Too sentimental. The last hour of the book (I listened to it) was mostly just characters getting overly sentimental with each other. I thought it was too much. The author must have felt like he earned that hour or more of pay-off, but I didn't think so. It felt too preachy in a way, or like a sitcom trying to wrap up every loose end and come away with some lesson.

The last chapter was necessary and nice though. It tied together how everyone is going through something and then, it's possible to lend a reassuring hand rather than ignore. That even the most dissimilar strangers can help each other.

Had this sitting around for quite a while and so glad I finally picked it up. Loved all of the distinctive voices, and smiled even as I was reading about the 'unlikable' characters.
