Every sentence was difficult to read. Underdeveloped characters. Confusing plot and execution. Predictable and cliche.

I feel like this is hard to review without spoiling the plot, but it’s a dark, Stepford Wives meets Christian mythology kind of deal. I think this was overall an effective and interesting novella, but falls short in tension/mystery.

There’s a lot to unpack here. I really don’t classify this as a “horror novel” yet here we are. I enjoyed this book. It was a short read and kept me entertained. Definitely worth checking out if you have two hours. The writing is great, but I can’t give these book a 5/5 due to the fact that I figured out the twist in the middle of the book. So a 4-5 But still.
