This book is, like, a perfect mix of my interests in WW2 and fashion history. Bonus: a love story I found compelling (if sad), with well executed miscommunication. And a good use of past and current timelines.
Graphic: Confinement, Death, and War
Moderate: Dementia

oh boy oh boy, it's going to take a while for me to recover from this one.
my eyes are still wet and my words are still lost (so as much as i would love to write a review as beautiful as this read, i really can't), but i'll just say this book had all of the good things. an interesting story that never stopped being unpredictable and surprising, but also very heartfelt at all times.
skye inspired us to defy the odds, nicholas to always fight for love. liberty taught us tenacity, margaux and caro true loyalty. a book where characters had strengths and faults that made them incredibly real.
it's going on my favourite books shelf for sure!
(the only strange thing for me was the fact that kat was walking around wearing 1940's couture everywhere? even on a cottage in cornwall...)
