This story is fabulous! At girl's camp we listened to the Cd and afterwards received a key necklace and a scroll to help us remember this story. At first, I was a little confused about which girl was Jane and which was Charolette but after a few chapters, I figured it out. This parable was easy to understand and is a good way to help girls and women remember and learn to serve our King through qualities and actions that are pleasing to our Heavenly Father instead of serving Satan. Through the story, it is showed that we can't serve both the King and the Scholar. I love how Jane realizes this and begins working extra hard to serve the King and help the orphans and as she does, she becomes happier. This story has a wonderful ending and I especially love how the King shows Jane a glimpse of her future if she gets the rest of the keys. This is the parable of a true story, one that can become true for every girl on this earth if she follows the commandments and does what's asked of her by her Heavenly Father. I want to always do this so that one day I will receive the reward of having my own eternal family and 'kingdom' when I return to Heavenyly Father! :-)

This is such a beautiful book!
I cannot help but think of how much this helped me to see the importance of modesty, love, virtue, and other prevalent values. It is definitely a book that needed to be written and I'm so thankful for it!
Chapter 7 gets me every time *spoiler alert*
Polly is the sweetest child, and she reminds me much of my little niece. Every time I read this book, chapter seven makes me cry.
This book is absolutely incredible, inspiring, and motivating. I definitely recommend it!
