WOW. I knew Octavia Butler was a highly praised author and a must-read for everyone but damn, the hype is real!

This was so weird and gruesome while also being really freaking cool. It's definitely disturbing considering the main character is still a child and the novella is all about impregnating human males, but it's still a fascinating story and I honestly would read a whole novel of this story.

I'm really looking forward to reading more of Butler's work.
