Mmm… So, I liked it, very much, quite a lot! The ending, though, I’m still not sure what happened there? But I genuinely enjoyed the plot and the romance was top notch top tier 11/10!! One of the things that stood out for me the most is the pacing because I didn’t feel it was slow but it wasn’t rushed either so I liked that! I’ve heard the second book is better so I’m so excited to read it asap!!

Thisss one. Ugh it's been so long were a book made me smile and cry and just want to throw across the room and scream "whyyyyy??!!"

I ate up this book. I enjoyed the slight fantasy elements included in what seems like a story placed in like the 50s.

Iris was such a real character with flaws I could even see in myself. She had fears and worries that were so real to me. Roman was the same. They both annoyed me at first because they would say such mean things to each other and seem to just move past it. But that's probably were the enemies to lovers comes in. Which is one of my favorite tropes to read.

I don't want to give to much of the story away but it gave me all the feels. It has romance, travel, actions trauma, loss and so much more.

I would recommend to anyone.

I really enjoyed this book. It took a bit for me to really start liking it, but once I got into the pace, I began to love it. I love the romance through letter writing. It was different from what I’m used to and I found it a unique way for characters to fall in love.  I do wish there was a bit more world building and I hope to see more of that in the next book.

The way Ross describes the feeling of grief, loss, and abandonment is so incredibly accurate. It left me so emotional at times that I had to stop and soak it in.
I will definitely be reading more books by this author. I can’t wait to see what happens next and I already pre-ordered the next book.

I felt this story in my whole body!

It brought tears to my eyes, had butterflies dancing in my belly, gave me chills and had my heart racing with anxiety!

The love and grief that this story delivers is overwhelming & beautiful.

If it wasn’t for the cliffhanger ending  that felt like it came out of left field- it would have been 5⭐️
I felt like the ending was more for shock & unnecessary/avoidable drama that simply ripped my heart out.
