I absolutely loved this. All the stars, 10/10, highly recommend this series! I literally did not know what to do with myself for hours after finishing it. We meet Alina
and the group of survivors in the White Cathedral
right where "Siege and Storm" ended. We follow along as they grow together as a group and plan their escape from underground to find Nikolai and his troops in order to face the Darkling and save Ravka. They venture on the journey to find the third amplifier while they learn more about the Darklings past, Ilya Morozova and how it is all interconnected. At the end of the day, they must each choose whether they can live with the price to be paid to end this war.

"What is infinite? The universe and the greed of men."

For a moment there, I thought my little heart could not take how the story was unfolding. In what the Darkling decided on as a punishment for
Nikolai
we see once more how cruel he can truly be. The moments between
Alina and Nikolai in his monster form
made my heart ache for the both of them and the choices they must make. Also, how could I not talk about Alina and Mal.
For a moment there, I thought they would not get to live the life they both want and deserve. What with Mal being the Third Amplifier and both of them knowing he must die in order for Alina to absorb the power within Mal. No words, just heartbreak. I did love the epilogue and how they rebuilt Keramzin to be a better home for others than it was for them. Zoya handing Alina blue Grisha robes with the note "You will always be one of us" makes me tear up even writing this review.
.

Please do yourself a favour and go read this series. It deserves all the hype it's getting. I cannot wait to go dive back into the Grishaverse with "Six of Crows" next.

GURLLLL this was such a good ending for the trilogy.

I still think a certain someone deserved worst for everything he did but oh well. I loved the confort of the last few pages. and I may or may not have shed a tear.... or maybe cried a lot who knows...

Nikolai has his own little space in my heart and I would love to have a chance to be his queen. 😌 I hope to see him in the other grishaverse books đŸ„ș

I loved this trilogy and I definitely will be revisiting it one day.

I'm so excited to read the other grishaverse books, I've heard Six of Crows is even better so I'm sooooo excited.❀

I didn’t get the ”wow-feeling” but it was good! Between all of the three books I liked Siege and Storms the most!

In like the end of Siege and storms I started to wondering whether if I wanted Alina to end up with Mal or Nikolai, and that thought followed me through Ruin and Rising too!
I still don’t know if I would have liked it more if Alina ended up with Nikolai.

My favorite character from R&R is definitely Misha!! I adore the the small little moments when Mal is With Misha, especially when Misha is curled up against Mal! Those moments make me like Mal more!

I think all three of these books had pretty long boring parts, like in my opinion the book was kinda only thrilling when it was ”war”. Those boring parts was what didn’t give the triology the ”Wow-feeling”.

But I love the moments where the darkling shows himself vulnerable because that makes him more human which I like.
And I also love that you get to know his real name!

I liked the shadow and bone trilogy way more than I thought I would but ruin and rising wasn’t as good as the first two books, still worth the read though!

I’m dead. How do I even start any other book after this one? This series has been incredible so far with the love triangles, the fantasy landscape, and the cast of wonderful characters, but this last book has truly ended the series with a bang.

So many twists and turns, a slightly slow start but once it picks up it is pretty much non-stop until the end. Tears were shed, books were *almost* thrown at walls, squeals were heard near-constantly while reading, and my face looked pretty much like this →

I’m not normally a crier for fictional character but this really made me BALL. Wow. I loved how Bardugo wasn’t afraid to go dark.
