Anxious People has quirky, diverse characters and plenty of surprises.  It touches on many themes about relationships and what it's like to be an adult. All the characters are flawed, but trying to be good humans.  They form a bond when they are unexpectedly put in a "hostage" situation.

I have decided I'll read anything Fredrik Backman writes. Not much happened, but I love that. He writes the human condition well, where no one is really a bad guy, everyone is just trying their best, and sometimes they really mess up, but you understand why they did what they did and they're trying to be better. He writes books that makes me more empathetic and believe in humanity.

I was honestly really hoping for more from this book. The beginning really drew me in but as it went on, I just wasn’t enjoying it. It felt very unorganized and hard to keep up with. Some of the ideas and thoughts were lovely and I did enjoy parts of this book, it was just a little bit of a letdown for me.
